Keep Aryx in your prayers
« on: January 22, 2011, 04:33:32 PM »
To all members,
As some of you may know Aryx had cancer and was in remission and was doing well.
He recently had a mass removed from his chest and it was found to be cancerous.
Please keep him in your thoughts and if you can wish him well.
He's a great asset to this forum and quite a talented photog and just a good guy in general.

Damn! That's not good.  I was wondering where's he been, haven't seen him teasing us with pictures from his Lauran shoots in awhile. Prayers and good wishes go out to him for speedy recovery and to kick this cancer in the !@#$ for good!

Thanks guys!
At this time, I am still recovering from the surgery, but doing well.
I had my first appointment at UCSF yesterday, and they want to try my on a trial treatment that so far has had very promising results. There are a few more tests that have to be run just to be sure that I qualify, but due to my age and multiple other factors, it sounds as if I will. But even if I don't, they can still put me on one of several other treatments.
And don't worry, once I am up and shooting again, Lauran and I will plan something for you guys, I'm sure! As she mentioned, we have been in contact. She and her family are good people.
Once again, thanks for your thoughts everyone!

Update?

Last I heard about Aryx was from back in March.  His chemo was stopped and he had a bone-marrow biopsy.
